Gelincik Cosmetics was established in 1981 by Ünal Görgülü who is a chemical engineer who saw the need and market for quality hair and cleaning products in Turkey. Gelincik was started with the initial idea of producing high quality shampoo and hair conditioner. As the company grew and gained recognition in the southeastern Turkey, by the 1990s, the product line was increased by adding cleaning products and additional hair care products like hair gel. Beginning in 1993 the Gelincik Company started to export to middle east countries utilizing it's experience and reputation for quality in the domestic Turkish market to grow into the export market. Due to the expansion and growth into export markets, the company expanded into an 800 Square Meter indoor area in the year 2000 to meet the increased demand. At the time with the increased production capacity and larger factory floor, production was increased and the company evolved into a more formal corporate management structure. Our goal is to increase capacity and production while maintaining and improving our quality and procedures in order to maintain our leadership and reputations as a quality producer. We currently manufacture both under our brand name "Gelincik" and also produce under our customer brand names on demand. In the last years we have continued to grow and now occupy a 9000 m2 open area and a 5000 m2 covered factory floor area. Our goal is to continue to grow, and reach more customers in Turkey and abroad,
